Connecting Asian Investors to the UK

If you wish to invest or set up a business, the United Kingdom is the idea destination, n matter where in the world you are from. If you plan to invest in the UK and have access to at least £2 million, and plan to invest it in share capital or loan capital in an active UK trading company, you can apply for a Tier 1 (Investor) visa. With this visa, you will be entitled to enter and remain in the UK for a period of up to 3 years.

However, you must fulfil the criteria below in order to gain the Tier 1 (Investor) visa.

Unlike other visas, there is no requirement to have a certain level of English or prove an ability to maintain yourself or dependants financially. Once granted, it is possible to extend the visa for a further 2 years, which would take you up to the time requirement for Indefinite Leave to Remain. However, there is a requirement to meet certain residency rules and investment requirements. There are accelerated settlements available which will depend on the amount invested, with £10 million allowing Indefinite Leave to Remain after only 2 years and £5 million meaning you only have to wait 3 years.

This visa can be applied for 3 months before travel, and usually takes 3 weeks to process if it is an entry clearance. It can take 8-12 weeks to process if it is submitted from the UK. It is possible to request a Priority Service, which should take 10-15 days.
